How the Process Works

1. Select Your Details: Choose your size, paper preference, and ink type from the options above.

2. Provide Your Request: In the "Notes to Seller" text box at checkout, enter the text, concept, or word you want brushed. Feel free to specify if you prefer a bold, modern style or a more classic, elegant look.

3. Review the Layout: I will verify the translation and consult with you on the overall composition. Once you approve the draft layout, the final piece will be brushed.

The Materials

Premium Japanese Papers

Your artwork is created on premium stock from the historic Awagami Factory in Japan. Each piece is carefully prepared with a hand-torn deckle edge to highlight the natural, raw quality of the fibers.

• Awagami Bamboo (170g): An organic, eco-friendly paper made from sustainable bamboo fibers. It has a soft, warm natural tone that gives the ink a rich, organic depth.

• Awagami Hakuho Select (220g): A heavy, luxurious master-art paper made from a blend of cotton and kozo (mulberry). It has a substantial, durable weight and a subtle texture.

Ink Options

• Standard Black Ink: A deep, intense black calligraphy ink offering timeless contrast and crisp, sharp lines.

• Premium Artisan Ink: Traditionally prepared by hand-grinding specialized, rare ink sticks on an ink stone. This process yields unique artistic properties, such as subtle tonal warmth, soft undertones, or a distinct luster under the light.
