An original Shodo artwork featuring the character 魂 (Tamashii), meaning "Soul" or "Spirit."
In Japanese tradition, tamashii signifies the core essence, inner force, and resilience of a person. The character is hand-inked with rich black sumi brushstrokes, designed to bring a sense of quiet focus and intention to a living space, studio, or meditation corner.
This piece is hand-brushed with traditional sumi ink on 220gsm Hakuho washi, crafted by the Awagami Factory in Tokushima, Japan. Made from a blend of kozo (mulberry) and cotton, this heavyweight, acid-free paper provides a soft, distinctly fibrous texture that complements the depth of the black ink.
